BRIAN
TRAVIS FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT #21, POSITION #1, WA (R)
"A New Direction for
Washington"

Can Do!
Dear Friends,
During this time of uncertainly in our state and nation the people of Washington State, need a representative in Olympia, willing to stand up for one simple but truthful message that message is, "can do"
Our state is filled with far too many people in both parties eager to point fingers and accuse one another of all manner of offense. Instead of looking to the bounty of our state and the unlimited potential of its people, we hear nothing but a steady stream of doom and gloom from the very same people who are asking you to elect them to solve the problems before us.
I say enough is enough!, we need a state representative who believes that our best days are ahead of us, a public servant who takes that word literally and is less interested in fame and fortune and more interested in results and change.
Our legislature needs to focus on facilitating commerce and job creation by building up our state’s transportation infrastructure, protecting the rights of labor, and protecting citizens from crime, in particular children who are the most defenseless members of our society.
We need brave leadership with bold innovative ideas; innovation such as creating an elected statewide commissioner of transportation with the authority to bypass the awkward regulatory barriers that make highway projects slow to approve, difficult to complete, and prohibitively expensive to construct.
Our legislature must stop focusing on global problems and start tending to the problems and solutions in our own back yard. Interfering with the details of our daily lives such as attempting to dictate what type of automobile we drive, whether we use plastic shopping bags, what kind of light bulbs we install, and what kind of dishwashing soap we use will not make our state better, only less free and more expensive in which to live.
Our legislature must see the potential of our state’s citizens and provide those in need the help they require; live up to the potential of our state’s children by providing a quality education even if that means using educational methods and institutions outside of the public school system.
Join me and let's elect a citizen legislator this year who
believes the years to come can be and will be the best in our state’s history
if we’re only willing to say to each other “can do.”
